Types of Data Collected

Booked (owner) will not provide a comprehensive list of personal data types gathered.

Users are responsible for any third-party data obtained, the use of cookies and cookie policies, and are freely responsible for providing the necessary data to Booked.

The types of data collected by Booked include, but are not limited to, the collection of debug logs and Firebase analytics, these items being defined by device information, such as device model, software version, app version, and language.

Booked does not currently collect any login credentials or personally identifying information in this release.

Booked does not use Cookies.

Mode and place of processing the Data

Methods of processing

Application owner processes user data in an appropriate manner and will take all necessary precautions to maintain the integrity of their security systems to prevent unauthorized access and information sharing. Data processing is carried out via computers and other IT enabled tools as deemed fit. This may be updated by the application owner at any time.

Booked stores debug logs and analytics data with Firebase. Booked does not assume responsibility for any and all information gathered and/or retained by Firebase. For more information please click here.

Booked data is processed and stored on AWS, please contact application owner for further details on location and place.

Retention Time

General and personal data is stored indefinitely, please contact aforementioned application owner for more detail. To suspend or remove data please contact application owner as well.

Aforementioned debug logs are retained indefinitely until deleted at individual app launches. Firebase retains data for 30 days.

Booked does not guarantee or secure retention times for any and all data types collected (see “Types of Data Collected”).

The Use of Collected Data

Data is collected to provide application services, improve app performance, and perform analytics.

Facebook and Google Permissions

Booked does not require Facebook or Google permissions, which grants access to the user’s Facebook or Google account for information and personal data as vetted by said user.

Access to Third Party Accounts

Booked uses Firebase to monitor daily active users and app analytics. For more information please click here.

Booked cannot guarantee proper usage of user information across aforementioned third-party accounts and is not liable for any infringements of privacy, or other personal damages associated with Booked and its connection to the third-party accounts.

Legal Action

Personal data provided by user may be utilized for legal purposes by application owner and/or data controller under warranted circumstances as indicated by a court of law, or in leading to potential legal action stemming from improper use of the application. User declares awareness that personal information may be revealed if required by legally-relevant public authorities.

System Logs and Maintenance: Booked and any related third-party services can collect system logs for data collection, and analytical purposes.

Users may request more information concerning data usage, collection, etc. by contacting the application owner listed above.

The Rights of Users

Users may request knowledge of how their personal data has been collected, used and stored at any time. Requests should be sent to the data controller or the application owner via email. This application does not support “Do Not Track” requests.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Booked reserves the right to update and modify this privacy policy at the application owner’s discretion at any time.

Personal Data (or Data): Any information provided by the user (defined below) pertaining to the user’s identification.
User: The individual using the application (Booked).
Data Controller (or Owner): Booked application, Cornell University App Development Team (CU AppDev), and all AppDev team members who retain the right to make any and all decisions regarding the application in all of its uses, forms, systems, etc. across the board.
This Application: The hardware or software by which data and data pertaining to the user is collected.
